Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie will return to judge American Idol Season 24, airing on ABC and Hulu in 2026. The trio announced the news in a playful back-to-school video, dubbing the show “Idol University.” Auditions kick off August 26, 2025, with Idol Across America virtual tryouts and regional open calls through September. Ryan Seacrest wasn’t mentioned in the release.
